For a more up close and personal encounter, embark on a thrilling jeep safari among the area’s lions, elephants and other wildlife. The Masai Mara National Reserve & conservancies never fail to entice and excite.

Itinerary

Departing Nairobi in the morning, you drive to Nakuru with a stopover to view the Great Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Afternoon game drive in the park where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinoceros and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in and around the lake with approximately 400 bird species recorded.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.

Early morning game drive to further explore the park and after breakfast, you head south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch, followed later by an early evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara Tented Camp or similar.

Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5 among other game with extensive morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Sarova Mara Tented Camp or similar.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular and most visit game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded.

Early morning game drive to further explore the park and after breakfast, you depart for Nairobi to arrive early afternoon. Drop off at your hotel.
